2nd December 2007 at N Walsham Ollie Goodrich, Edmund Lock, Joe Gaffney, Anthony Bohncke, Callum Rollo, Toby Everett, James Heal, Alfie Butt, Adam Sutton, Tom Heal, Callum II, Will Everson, Ed Everson, Gavin Keable and Will Dunning Southwold kicked off at 1100 hrs with the wind and rain behind us. NW were quick to capitalise on our mistakes and we were soon 7 - nil down. We had a new team member Callum (II) surname unknown to me at present, he was always willing to tackle and tackle low but due to his inexperience they were not always effective, I expect good effective tackling from him as he gains expertise and experience. I also saw good tackles from Tom and Will E with Adam giving hot pursuit to their try scorer right till the end. At half time we were 24 - nil down. Edmund had to retire with a back injury so we borrowed a Sam from NW who played at left wing, Gavin went Centre and Callum went Hooker. In the second half we woke up a bit with good tackling from Anthony, Will E and James, there was an effective block from Toby to one of their kicks and a good flying pass from Will E to Ed who made the right decision to clear the ball with a kick. Unfortunately by full time we were 53 - nil down, it had rained, drizzled and blown steadily for the whole match but the team never gave up and fought till the end. Well Done! I'm told as a precautionary measure Edmund was airlifted out by the Air Ambulance. We all wish him well and expect to see him on the field again as soon as possible. Good Luck Edmund. |
