Pavilion Project sponsored run
Dear all,
As the new Pavilion Project nears completion it is evident that there will be a funding shortfall of several thousand pounds.
This shortfall will impact on the quality and range of white goods and finish in the Bar and Kitchen areas. Some might say the most important areas!
With this in mind the Club are looking to raise monies from a sponsored run.
The run will be around a 1000m course marked on The
Common at Southwold and will be centered on the club
and the 1st XV pitch.
This will involve all members of the club from U7s minis up to and including the 1st XV, in fact anyone who can run/walk including your grandma if she wishes.
All coaches , volunteers and parents are invited to take part
If they can raise sponsors they can enter!
There are a number of rules.....
1. To enter each entrant will need a minimum of £30 sponorship pledged.
2. You must run in black and gold .....those in squads to wear their Kit please.
3. Prize to the biggest sponsor,
Sponsorship forms will be available at the Awards Ceremony or directly from David Vaughan via email

If you cant make it or prefer not to run donations will be gratefully received.
This is billed as a club day and with that in mind refreshments will be available .
Can we ask that some of you give some consideration to volunteering to assist with catering/BBQ/Drinks etc.
The planning of it is very much in its early stages but we want to give you all an early heads up so that it can be publicised at the awards ceremonies and before the close of the season.

Southwold Rugby Club runs two men’s senior sides, a men’s veterans (over 35!) side, three youth sides, the Sharks (under 13’s, under 14's/15's and under 17’s) and the Seagulls have teams at under 7,8,9,10 and 11/12's, the Minis as well as a senior Ladies team, the Swallows. The club colours are black with an old gold hoop.
Many of the sides go on tour to play not only teams from the UK but teams in countries throughout the world.
The club is as active off the pitch as it is on the pitch. For information on forthcoming events please see the events section.

The Seagulls U10 team 2007/8
The Seagulls U10 team has had another successful season winning the N Walsham Festival and The Plate in the Norwich Festival as well as getting to quarter finals of the Tigers Prima Cup played at Welford Road.
The U10s scored a total of 182 tries this season and conceded only 32.
